Africa Accelerate is a UK-based think tank which seeks to build links with African countries through business, investment and collaborative initiatives. We believe that Africa needs trade as well as aid and that building a prosperous continent requires support from British businesses, politicians and charitable organisations.

Our committee has undertaken aid and support projects in Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Kenya. But the poverty of these countries cannot be reversed on hand-outs alone. Giving this continent the support it deserves means shining a spotlight on its innovations in tourism, agriculture and technology. This can only be achieved when African countries are championed as forces of innovation and optimism, where the talents of the African people are given the recognition they deserve in the international community.
